Eligibility Criteria for Raters
Eligible raters include specialized organizational or social
value assessment organizations, social impact and management consulting
firms, as well as local and international consultants. Any
firm/organization/consultant should demonstrate that it has conducted at
least 5 organizational or social impact assessments over the past 2 years.
In regard to consulting firms, only those companies that
have a significant and distinct line of business in organizational
and social impact assessments will be eligible to participate in ForeignAid
Ratings. While ForeignAid Ratings does not prescribe or impose a specific
methodology or reporting format, it does require that participating raters
adhere to minimum standards of social impact- and organizational- analysis
and reporting, such as output-outcome analysis and clear definition of terms
and ratios used. This is designed to ensure that rating/assessment reports
conducted under the auspices of ForeignAid Ratings provide sufficient
information to enable end-users (donors and the public) to make informed
judgments about the performance of organizations.
Participating raters that fail to conform to these
standards can be de-listed from ForeignAid Ratings. De-listing may occur as
a result of any of the following reasons:
- If the rating/assessment reports do not measure up to
reasonable standards of quality.
- If a rater misrepresents the true cost of a
rating/assessment, or takes any other action intended to circumvent the
intentions or rules of ForeignAid Ratings.
- If a rater remains inactive in ForeignAid Ratings for
more than 9 months.
